Stantec’s Belgium office is the seat of the International Division unit. We provide management support to international institutions, such as the European Commission (EC), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and EU bilateral donors. We combine the perfect mix between the expertise of providing sustainable solutions to development challenges mainly in developing countries, and the knowledge renewable energy and energy efficiency.
You will join the expanding business development team and take responsibility in leading a team of Business Development Managers in their efforts to undertake marketing campaigns and secure project awards with our clients, with a focus on the European Commission services of DEVCO, NEAR and FPI.
Reporting directly to the Business Director, you will be associated in the business development management team key decisions and will provide active contribution in the strategy and be responsible to lead and achieve growth. You will lead and supervise all the various tasks related to the preparation of commercial offers of your team, including the tasks related to the recruitment of consultants.
You will be required to demonstrate a combination of discipline, flexibility, and precision in all tasks while counting on a network of experts and partners and sounds clients’ knowledge.
In this role you will be responsible to lead some of the diversification effort and grow the environment and natural resource management sectors in priority and will launch a strategy to enter the governance and economic development sectors as well. You will need to have specific experiences and track record in those sectors and a precise view of the markets, partners and experts.
As professional leader, your role will quire leadership and mentorship responsibilities within your team and the business development team in general. As a recognized specialist of the EC external aid you will have a strong entrepreneurship mentality and driven to achieve results.
